WynnBet Coming Soon to West Virginia

WynnBet is joining West Virginia for online sportsbook and casino operations

WynnBet sportsbook, the sports betting and casino app owned by Wynn Resorts International, is quickly gaining ground across the country.  Already available in seven states (Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey, Tennessee, and Virginia), with varying levels of market access to 18 others, WynnBet currently reaches approximately 44% of the US population. And they can soon add West Virginia bettors to those numbers.

Wynn Resorts first entered the world of online sports betting in 2020 with a launch in New Jersey.  WynnBet gained market access to West Virgina via a
partnership with the food-service and hospitality group Delaware North, based out of Buffalo, NY.  Employing more than 55,000 people worldwide, Delaware North operates in the lodging, sporting, airport, gambling, and entertainment arenas.

The two properties involved are the Wheeling Island Hotel -Casino-Racetrack in Wheeling, WV, and the Mardi Gras Casino and Resort near Charleston
WV.  Both already operate their own retail sportsbooks, and Delaware North owns it’s own website and mobile sports betting app, called Betly – leaving this
venture well poised to satisfy the market. Wynn Resorts says its sportsbook is designed for “discerning players who know the difference between placing a bet and experiencing a bet,” and perhaps this is true.  However, the company is not alone in its efforts to “stand out” in the world of online sports betting.  The surge represents an industry-wide effort to changing conditions brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic.  With people driven out of the
casinos, bettors quickly turned to online alternatives, creating a boom for the online industry.

WynnBet is not about to be left in the dust – in addition to West Virginia, the company has announced it is currently in negotiations to gain market access in
seven other states…extending WynnGate’s reach to nearly 77% of the US population. In short, sports betting has spilled over to the internet, and WynnBet is riding the
wave.  In short, sports betting has spilled over to the internet, and WynnBet is riding the
