 A close call away from another 3-2 winning record, but Baylor could not convert on 4^th down in OT to help us hit the over. We also learned that Colorado is bad….really bad. We knew they were bad, but they could not even cover the spread against the Air Force. Lesson learned. Last week I gave away Georgia Southern +23.5, I just wish I had the stones to have bet ML at +1,100.

 Let’s get to the Week 3 picks

Florida State ML @ Louisville 1.35 units to win 1 unit

 On the road Friday night will be tough for Florida State, but not nearly as tough as when they went into New Orleans and beat LSU. If you saw the UCF vs Louisville game last week you would have noticed both teams are bad. I do not put much stock in Louisville beating a down UCF team. I do put some stock in the fact that Louisville lost to Syracuse 31-7. I think Jordan Travis is turning the corner as a passer. While Cunningham is good, if FSU can keep him in the pocket, then I think they can win the game. With over 50 passes on the season, Cunningham has 0 touchdowns versus 2 picks.

Oklahoma -11 @ Nebraska 1.1 units to win 1 unit

 Is there any motivation left for Nebraska? With a 1-2 start and the one win looking uninspired against North Dakota and their HC gone, I just do not see Nebraska getting up for this game. If they get down early, I think they will just roll over. Oklahoma has been untested against Kent State and UTEP, but are 2-0 nonetheless. Brent Venables and Dillion Gabriel were able to have 2 dress rehearsals before this game and I think they will roll into Lincoln with a W and a cover.

Notre Dame -11 vs Cal 1.1 units to win 1 unit

I get it…ND lost last week against Marshall. To be fair, we saw the Sun Belt (Fun Belt) get 3 victories in big games with wins over Texas A&M, Nebraska, and Notre Dame. There is a QB controversy, but I see both QB’s as capable of beating Cal. I see Josh Freeman righting the ship and getting ND to play inspired against a very bad Cal team. Cal is coming off a 20-14 victory over UNLV in which they could only muster 92 yards on the ground. UNLV would have been in a great position to win if they did not go 1-12 on 3^rd down and 1-4 on 4^th down. ND takes out their anger on Cal and wins easily.

 Nevada +24 @ Iowa 1.15 units to win 1 unit

 I am going to make this short, sweet, and simply….do you actually think Iowa can score 24 points? Iowa has scored 14 points combined in their first two games and their defense scored 4 points of that. Take the points.

 Penn State @ Auburn Under 48 1.1 units to win 1 unit

 This will be a defensive slugfest, so cover your eyes if you are used to modern football. Both defenses are strong and neither offense is formidable. This game seems like a 17-14 game. These two teams played last year to a 28-20 PSU victory. Their offenses have not shown me they can score the same amount as last year.
