Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Dallas Cowboys odds, picks, and predictions:
A rematch of last season’s opener between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys awaits, this time in AT&T stadium. The most public player in the league Tom Brady against the most public team in the league the Dallas Cowboys, will once again go head to head in prime-time Sunday Night Football. Last year the Bucs won an 31-29 fireworks show and both teams come into this year vying for contention again after disappointing ends in 2021 . Let’s get into this marquee matchup.

Team Breakdowns:
Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys went 12-5 last year and lost to the San Francisco 49ers 23-17 in the wild-card round. They come into this season with sky high expectations from ownership with Jerry Jones praying for just one more Super Bowl win. While the team is very talented and can compete with anyone on any given Sunday, I still have a few questions. The Cowboys lost two of their top receivers from last season in Amari Cooper and Cedrick Wilson Jr. All-Pro left tackle Tyron Smith also seems to be out for the season, they must now recently signed 40 year old Jason Peters to help fill the void. The coaching is also something to question, last season Mike McCarthys team led the league in penalties. McCarthy also has a tendency to manage the game terribly and it has cost them wins in the past.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
I’m not really sure where to begin with this team they’ve been in so much turmoil. I suppose I’ll start at the beginning. Their star quarterback TB12 retired only to unretire a month later, their head coach basically got fired because Tom didn’t want him to be the coach anymore, and their QB took a 3 week vacation at the start of training camp. The Bucs offensive line has suffered injuries at critical positions with center Ryan Jensen on IR and LT Tristen Wirfs out week 1 Their new head coach former defensive coordinator Todd Bowles flamed out in his last head coaching tenure with the Jets. Despite all that though, the Buccaneers are yet again one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl and it starts and ends with Tom Brady.
Picks and Predictions:
Pick: Cowboys +2.5 (-105) 1.05 units
I like the Cowboys in this spot for a few reasons. While the Cowboys have a major problem at LT, the Buccaneers have way bigger problems along the interior of their offensive line, which should present problems for 45 year old Tom Brady. The Cowboys defense has also been way better at home than on the road and I like their chances of holding down the Buccs while they figure some things out the first few weeks. I think this game should be much close to a pick em so I like the value on the Cowboys at home as an underdog. Since 200, underdogs are 175-155-14 against the spread in week 1.
